I bought your book about the "romance" of Mr. Glenn Gould and Steinway pianos.
Just bautiful! Compliments.
Please, if you would like it,
let me know when you will be in the Milan / Como (my home) area to offer you a lunch or dinner and get your signature on the book.
I normally work near the airport and I own a Kaway KG3.

Ms. Hafner-

Just finished your book late last night. Thank you so much for your work. The title as quite apt considering the convoluted relationships involved between the instrument, the artist and the manufacturers, as well as the various technicians. As a lifelong pianist, it was a welcome read. Back to the bench.

Thanks again.

I'd like your book to translate to Japanese. Stainway CD318 was a his
favorlate piano. Because the story about his turner Van Edoqisst and his love affiar with Mrs.Cornelia Foss I want to introduce.
I think his love affiar with Mrs. Cornelia Foss was a great tragedy for his life the other side it was a great blot for his life.
That's why he was to break up the familly of Lukas Foss.
When I translate to Japanese,I see the German version with original
English version.
I think the times were very trying for Lukas Foss and it become the very important time for the biographical and the compositional study of Lukas Foss. When I want progress my study, it want to become a
important material for Lukas Foss's study.
Miss Hafner, would you send me you mail? I hope your answer.

I give you the first mail. In 2011,I intend to annonce at The Musicology Society of Japan. The title is `The truth of Glenn Gould--
love and illness'.
Glenn Gould's love affair with Mrs.Cornelia Foss cleared in 2007 August
25 at Canada Tront Star. The article `Glenn Gould's secret life' was
introduced in Japan.
Now I prepare myself the announce toward 2011. I'm reading the book of
Peter F.Ostwald. I resarch his love and illness. I was very surprised
at his relation with the doctors. He insulted the doctors. That's why
he couldn't his real illness.
I think his secrtism, drop out of concert, mental discorder, and dependent of drugs result from his social maladjustment originated he
couldn't independent of her mother. He couldn't open his mind for all
people.
Miss Hafner,I hope your answer.

I am having difficulty finding this interview. The link doesn't seem to work. Can you send it to me again? I really enjoyed your Google interview. The mp3 interview list on book buffet seems to be missing segment 3.
Thanks,
Claudia Wood

Hello, I found your book, "A Romance on Three Legs" absolutely fascinating, and I could relate to it also in the following respects: In 1959 I played first clarinet in the orchestra at UCLA which was conducted by Lukas Foss. And, coincidentally, in 1963, served in the
US Air Force, and was stationed in Niagara Falls, New York (roughly 20 miles from Buffalo). Lukas was the conductor of the Buffalo Philharmonic, and, as I remember it, Richard DuFallo, who I played under many times at UCLA, was his assistant. I attended concerts there at that time. Little did I know that Lukas's wife was having an affair with Glenn Gould, until, now. One point - you called this affair "discreet," however, Lukas, and many others knew about it. That's about it for now. You are a great writer and the research involved was staggering. Thank you very much.

I've read the book in italian and I enjoyed it a lot.
Too bad there were some major translation mistakes like Glenn's cousin gender (she was a woman, not a man) and others...anyway congrats to the author :)
